Salvatore Maggio, Bar Manager at The Rubens at the Palace, shares his martini recipe for Chinese New Year. This martini is easy to make, using ingredients found in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 30ml brewed and chilled green tea
  • 60ml vodka
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • A dash of simple syrup or honey to taste
  • Mint leaves

 

Method

  1. Brew the green tea, chop up most of your mint and allow to steep.
  2. Transfer the green tea to the fridge to cool down.
  3. Transfer the measured ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until thoroughly combined.
  4. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into your glass.
  5. Decorate with a mint leaf and serve.
