Drop-in Chocolate Workshops at The Chocolate Museum

The Chocolate Museum in Brixton is open weekly on Sundays between 11am and 6pm and offers drop-in chocolate workshops for kids. The workshops run for one hour and tickets cover the cost of ingredients to make your own truffles. You will order ingredients from the menu and facilitators will be on hand to help as you make your own chocolate treats. The workshops are also excellent for children with nut allergies, as they are entirely nut-free.

Pastry Chef Experience at The Rubens at the Palace

The childrens’ Pastry Chef Experience at The Rubens at the Palace hotel offers the chance for your little ones to get creative in the kitchen with a professional pastry chef. The workshop lasts for approximately 30 minutes and includes the opportunity for children to dress up in full chef uniforms, view the hotel kitchen chefs at work and decorate their own biscuits and cupcakes. Children will also receive a ‘Master Chef in the Art of Pastry’ certificate, a personalised badge, and a polaroid picture of the experience.

Kids Cookery Class at The Avenue Cookery School

The Avenue in Wandsworth is a family-run cookery school, headed by three partners – mother, son, and daughter. They endeavour to instruct people of all ages and abilities, teaching an understanding of food whilst having fun together. They offer a variety of children’s cooking courses in London, including their Kids Cooking Club, Young Holiday Cooking Classes, and a variety of other classes for children aged seven to 16.
