After its cancellation in 2020 and limited capacity in 2021, Wimbledon’s full comeback in 2022 sparked immense joy in Londoners and tennis fans alike. It is therefore no surprise that anticipation for the 2023 championships has already begun to gather. So, if you are looking to secure tickets to one of the biggest events of the sporting calendar next year, here is our guide on how you can witness history first-hand at Wimbledon 2023.
Wimbledon is set to return on Monday 3rd July 2023 and will run until Sunday 16th July 2023, finishing with a heated men’s final. Celebrations for the event tend to gather before this start date though, and London will likely be overcome with the all-consuming Wimbledon buzz ahead of the event’s dates. From themed afternoon teas to Wimbledon style cocktails, there will be something for all to enjoy.
The Wimbledon Ballot is the most common method of securing tickets for the Championships. By joining the ballot you enter a pool of potential ticket holders who are chosen at random upon the ballot’s closure in December 2023.
To enter the ballot, you must first create an account with MyWimbledon where you will receive all communications about the event and tickets. It should be noted, however, that a ballot entry does not guarantee a ticket, just the potential to secure one. The results of the ballot will be confirmed in February 2023.
For those unsuccessful in the ballot there are remaining methods of securing tickets, such as the Wimbledon Queue which takes place every day of the event. As its name suggests, the Wimbledon Queue provides the chance to secure any last minute, leftover tickets. With large crowds, music, and the buzz of potential tickets in the air, the Wimbledon Queue is known for its vibrant and jubilant atmosphere. You can also purchase a Grounds Pass to gain access to the surrounding festivities of Wimbledon, such as the famed strawberries and cream or delightful Pimm’s cocktails.
Whilst an entry in the ballot proposes a buzz of anticipation and suspense, there are methods that guarantee tickets to this celebrated event.
Running across our London hotels during the Wimbledon period is our Wimbledon Experience package, which alongside a two-night stay at one of our 4- or 5-star hotels, includes a pair of Centre Court tickets with exclusive access to the Centre Court Lounge, restaurants, and bars. Wherever you spend Wimbledon next year, it is sure to be an event full of vibrancy and cheer, and we look forward to celebrating with our guests further come July 2023.
